Welcome to Special Property Update No.9 ................  I can't believe its not sold!!!

Earlier this year this well equipped and full featured property went on the market at 35% below it original cost - a real bargain at just 165.000 euros - where else can you get such a well maintained villa with a pool and garage on a decent plot for such a low price?

But it didn't sell.    Why not?

Well we have had a lot of interest in this villa but everyone decided that it was just a bit too far from the coast for them - Oria is around an hour away from the beaches of Vera Playa and Mojacar.

This is a real shame as from experience we know that the majority of people who buy, especially if moving permanently to Spain, very rarely go to the beach after the initial interest wears off.  So does it really matter if its half an hour or an hour away?

You do get far more for your money as you go further inland and this villa is no exception - especially now.

As it has not sold despite the owner wanting a quick sale he has now taken the unprecedented step to reduce the price further to just 139.950 euros - that's over 44% drop from original cost!

To say this is a bargain is definitely an understatement so take another look at the description below as choosing this villa might leave you with a bit more spare cash to live a better life in sunny Spain.

Villa Oria is located on a corner plot on the edge of the town of Oria which is surrounded by some beautiful countryside.   The main town with supermarkets and bars, etc is walking distance from the villa and there are a few other villas in the surrounding area so it is not isolated.

 This 3 bedroom villa is fully equipped with a high quality solid wood and granite kitchen, radiator central heating for those few cooler winter months and airconditioning for the more frequent hot summer months!   There are also solar panels to make the most of all the sunshine. 

The bedrooms are a good size and all benefit from having built in wardrobes and the master bedroom also has an en-suite.

To provide a lot more living space the current owners converted the covered terrace and this is now used as a separate dining room and sun room. This leaves the whole of the original Lounge/Diner to be a more spacious living room.

Outside, the garden is nicely planted and features an 8m x 4m pool with generous paved terracing together with a glass block surrounding wall for shelter and privacy.  On the other side of the house is a garage.

This is a quality property that is extremely well equipped, very well maintained and in a convenient location for all local amenities so would make an ideal retirement home or even a family home in part of the real Spain.

Due to a bereavement this house needs to be disposed of as soon as possible and that is why it is on offer at such a remarkably low price.

However...is it really such a bargain? ......there must be some drawbacks?

Well the only one I can think of is what I mentioned above - its not as close to the coast as many of our other properties - around an hour away.  However because of this it is a lot closer to the Sierra Nevada ski slopes and the National Park of Sierra Maria.  Its swings and roundabouts really and as I said, how often do you go to the coast once you live there anyway?  For most people its only now and again once they are resident!
