Why so low?    

The owners need to sell the property as quickly as possible so have now finally reduced the price from its original 260.000 euros to this very low figure. This more than reflects the reduced prices of property in Spain at the moment and is only really possible because of the beneficial exchange rate to return euros into sterling. However as a buying opportunity it must be too good to miss!

So what do you get for your 159.950 euros?

Well quite a lot really – to complement the 4 bedrooms you have two modern bathrooms with one being en-suite. The living room is large but has a very cosy feel about it with a feature fireplace and woodburner which in the winter keeps the whole house warm due to the good insulation and double glazing throughout – however for any top up heat required there is a selection of radiators.

Off the living room is a separate dining room which then leads to the well fitted kitchen with solid wood units and granite worktops. Off the kitchen is a utility room.

R01471_House to Reform

At 150m2 this is another extremely good price and would considerably increase the accommodation - however a fair bit of renovation would be required.  It does have water and electricity available together with a further 800m2 of land.

Casa Paraiso is located a short distance outside Velez Rubio and set near the edge of the national park of La Sierra Maria famous for its cave paintings of the Indalo man plus loads of country pursuits such as walking, horse riding, cycling, paragliding and many more.

The surrounding mountains provide some spectacular views so if you are not feeling that energetic you can always take a leisurely drive to experience the best of the countryside – however the views from the Cortijo are pretty amazing.

Velez Rubio and its neighbouring town of Velez Blanco are typical Andalucian towns with narrow streets and what seems like fiestas every other week. They have a wide range of shops, restaurants and all other amenities you could need along with their regular weekly markets – something you should not miss.

Velez Rubio is located just off the main Murcia to Granada motorway which means that many of the major cities such as Granada, Lorca, Murcia and Almeria can easily be reached. Another major advantage is that the Sierra Nevada ski slopes can also be reached within a couple of hours.
